Good to know
A Home That Feels Like a Mountain Retreat Climb the stairs (yes, there are a few, worth it!) and you'll find three thoughtfully designed bedrooms, each with its own personality. Upstairs, the primary bedroom offers a plush king bed and a private balcony where morning coffee tastes better with a view. Just down the hall, a second bedroom with a full bed and pull-out futon opens onto its own balcony overlooking the mountains — perfect for stargazing after the kids are asleep. Down on the main level, the bunk room is ready for little adventurers (or the friend who always claims top bunk first). Every floor has its own full bathroom, so no one's waiting in line before that first hike. Sleeping Arrangements Bedroom 1 (upstairs): 1 King bed Bedroom 2 (upstairs): 1 Full/Double bed + 1 Futon Bedroom 3 (main level): 2 Twin beds (bunk style) Sleeps 6 comfortably across 4 beds. Gather in the Heart of the Home The kitchen is the kind you actually want to cook in: open, sunlit, and fully stocked, from the Keurig with a rotating cast of K-Cup flavors to every pot, pan, and utensil you'll need for a big family breakfast. Pull up a seat at the table for 8, or spread out on the brand-new sectional in the living room, where a crackling gas fireplace and a 60" smart TV with Apple TV set the scene for a lazy movie night (instructions are right there by the hearth, and we just ask you to turn it off when you head out for the evening). Head down to the game room and the night takes on a life of its own; a cozy wooden nook, a stocked bar, and a vintage arcade cabinet loaded with 100+ games that turns "just one round" into an hour. Step outside from there and you're in your own private, fully fenced backyard, where a hot tub (cleaned and refreshed weekly) is waiting under the stars. We keep robes on hand in the game room so you can wrap up and relax before heading back in. Come winter, that same backyard becomes a snow playground for the kids. The Practical Bits We've got you covered with plenty of parking (up to 4 vehicles, snow chains recommended in winter), a stocked bathroom setup, and clear trash/recycling service so you can focus on your trip, not the details. No pets allowed to join this stay. And since mountain weather can be unpredictable in any season, we always recommend picking up trip insurance for peace of mind. Got questions along the way? We're just a message away.
Other Details to Note
Please note the house does not have A/C (most homes don't in Big Bear). It is usually not hot enough to be needed but we provide fans in case it gets a little warm. Big Bear has some very important rules for all short term rentals. You will must follow these rules or your stay will be canceled without refund: 1.) Do not exceed the stated occupancy limit: the occupancy is (6) adults for Atlas Ridge 2.) No parking on the street or yard and a maximum of (4) cars 3.) No amplified music 24/7 4.) Noisy outdoor activities and spa use are prohibited from 10:00pm-7:00am. 5.) No pets 6.) Trash placed in outdoor bins. Contact us if they are full. *No Parties! If you have more than the number of guests in your booking your stay will be cancelled immediately. The city takes this very seriously. *PLEASE NO SMOKING* Please note: Big Bear is located in the mountains, where conditions can sometimes be unpredictable. While power or Wi-Fi outages are uncommon, they can occasionally affect the entire area due to weather or other natural factors. We always do our best to support our guests, but some situations are outside our control. Since we must follow our cancellation policy and are unable to provide refunds for natural disasters or related disruptions, we highly recommend purchasing travel insurance. This will give you peace of mind in the event of wildfires, road closures, or other unforeseen circumstances. We appreciate your understanding and want your trip to be as worry-free as possible.
