Wake up, pour a coffee, and watch the boats head out across the bay. Lakefront Castle puts you right on the water in Big Bear Village, with your own dock out back and dinner a short walk away. Main level Walk in and look up. The great room has soaring wood-beam ceilings, a two-story stone fireplace, and a wall of windows facing the lake. In winter, light a real wood fire and watch the snow come down outside. The kitchen is made for big group meals. There's a long island, stools for whoever keeps sneaking snacks, and a wet bar for whoever's making drinks. Gather everyone around the dining table, then settle the rematch at the foosball table in the den. Upstairs Grab the primary suite if you can. It has a king bed, a private bath, and a balcony that looks right out over the lake, so your morning coffee starts upstairs. Bedrooms 2 and 3 fit the rest of the crew, with two fulls in one and two queens in the other. The hallway bath between them has a full tub for relaxing. Outside This is where the trip happens. The backyard steps down to a stone patio with a fire pit, Adirondack chairs, and a clear view across Big Bear Lake. Grill dinner on the deck, eat outside, and stay out for s'mores as the sky turns pink over the water. In the warmer months, the private dock is all yours. Rent a pontoon or kayaks at a nearby marina and tie up right behind the house.
